The Mill pond is located on my grandmothers land, may back and high up the mountains in the Town of Corinth, nearly in the Town of Day. This is the body of water in which I learned how to swim. I painted this over the Thanksgiving Holiday... it likely won't be the last time I paint it

Denny Morreale is a 2007 graduate of St. Lawrence University and is currently living and working in Canton, NY. In the years since graduating, he has undertaken an informal process of self-study, drawing heavily from the resources of the Owen D. Young Library at SLU. His background as a History major has carried over extensively into his work, which focuses on the subjective experience of time and place. In essence, his work embraces its role as ‘primary source’, and seeks to contribute to the mythology of the communities which participate.
